HISTORY:

A conflict and finally one too many has brought about wars between what is old and what is new. But when considering these two species one must always remember their origination...they both started out as mortal men and women.  Like all human beings they will always carry the same emotions of rivalry, jealousy, greed, and gluttony.
Traditional vampires were settled with their lot as being what they are, mostly because there really wasn't a choice besides death that would free them from their immortality.  They had given up on sunlight, families, children, and had finally managed to settle for their new diet and eternal darkness.  The dispute between traditional  and  neo-techno  vampires arose soon after the creation of nanodes. Some of the traditional vampires were driven by greed for the money provided by such technology and for the rights to continue hunting their prey in certain area they considered their land.  Superiority also rared it's head in that traditional vampires claimed their age as being the base for their rights and wanted the freedom to do anything they wished including killing anyone they saw fit to kill.
Neo-Techno vampires consider themselves to be above both traditional vampire and mortals.  They have all of the mortal privilages as well as the better parts of being vampires. They can eat mortal food but also must consume blood.  While they are able to go out into the daylight, this requires them to consume more blood, thus they prefer to run their businesses and functions during the night.  It was their choices that began the conflict between traditional vampires and neo-techno vampires. Land was being bought and sold, hunting grounds were being developed, the neo-techno vampire families were growing a lot faster than traditional vampires could create more of their own, and wealth was  quickly building up the vampire families rather than the covens.

Focused on their own infighting, they never noticed the numerous sightings of other species besides themselves. Now it has been thrust into their faces. They are not the dominant predators anymore. Now there are others who are fast, strong and stealthy. As these beings emerge or are revealed more and more in the communities, the vampires have been forced to take notice and re-evaluate their current positions. The choice will be simple, adapt and prosper with these new species or crush them as effectively as the humans that are now no more than food, profit or entertainment.  Perhaps the real question is where have these creatures been hiding or rather who is responsible for their creation?
